Thoclor - GF1

Aesthetic skin procedures — including microneedling, laser resurfacing, chemical peels, dermabrasion, and waxing — create a controlled wound in the skin. How well and how quickly that wound heals determines the quality of the result. Thoclor GF1 is a clinically developed hypochlorous acid (HOCl) aftercare spray designed to optimise every stage of that recovery.

Key Ingredient

Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) — a molecule naturally produced by the body's immune system to fight infection and reduce inflammation. In GF1, it is delivered in a sterile, stabilised solution that is 80–100 times more effective against pathogens than bleach chlorine, yet entirely safe for skin contact, eye contact, and accidental ingestion.

How to use

Before treatment

Cleanse the skin with a liquid cleanser and pat dry. From approximately 15cm, spritz GF1 onto the face, neck, and around the eyes until the skin is moist. Treatment may begin immediately — no need to wait for the skin to dry.

After treatment

Apply GF1 immediately after the procedure to a clean face (ensure all other products used during treatment have been removed). Allow to air dry naturally — do not wipe off or use a fan or hair dryer, as HOCl is most active while the skin is damp. Reapply every 30 minutes throughout the remainder of the treatment day. If redness persists the following day, continue applying once per hour until it subsides. Once fully healed, resume your regular GF2 routine.

Most patients transition from GF1 back to GF2 once the skin has fully healed.

Can GF1 be used on all skin types?

Yes. GF1 is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, reactive, and darker skin tones. It is particularly beneficial for Fitzpatrick skin types III–VI, where the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) following aesthetic procedures is significantly higher.

Does GF1 interfere with other post-procedure products?

For best results during the recovery period, Thoclor recommends avoiding other skincare products until the skin has fully healed. This minimises the number of ingredients on compromised skin and reduces the risk of reactions or complications. Do not mix GF1 with or into any other product.
