What is Exo-PDRN Prismatic+?

Exo-PDRN Prismatic+ is Medik8’s “youthful vitality” serum, inspired by in-clinic polynucleotide treatments. It combines two of skincare’s most talked-about technologies, PDRN and exosomes, in one fragrance-free, vegan formula. Medik8 describes it as a multi-dimensional approach to visible skin health built on three steps: recover, restore and recharge.

Who is it for?

• Anyone whose skin looks dull, tired or less bouncy than it used to, and who wants visibly healthier, more radiant skin.
• All skin types. Medik8 says it is suitable for sensitive, dry and oily skin, and it is oil-free.

Key ingredients

• Prismatic PDRN: a vegan form of PDRN (DNA particles) with a stable tetrahedral structure. Medik8 reports 2x better skin absorption and around 60% deeper penetration than traditional salmon- and rose-derived PDRN in an in vitro study, to support skin recovery and help soothe visible irritation.
• Triple exosome complex: up to 151 billion exosomes per bottle, according to Medik8, designed to support the skin’s natural signalling, resilience and barrier.
• GF MiniProtein™: Medik8’s next-generation growth factor MiniProtein, which the brand says helps boost the skin’s collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid levels for visibly improved skin structure over time.
• ATP precursor: an energy-carrying molecule that helps optimise the natural processes involved in visible skin rejuvenation.
• Also contains niacinamide, centella asiatica, sodium hyaluronate, panthenol and amino acids.

How to use

1. Cleanse, morning and evening.
2. Apply 1–2 pumps evenly across the face, neck and décolletage using light upward strokes. Allow to absorb fully.
3. Layer thinnest to thickest: apply Exo-PDRN Prismatic+ before Crystal Retinal or Liquid Peptides Advanced, then follow with moisturiser. Use SPF in the morning.

Patch test at least 24 hours before first use. Around 80 uses per bottle.

What is PDRN in skincare?

PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) is made of DNA fragments. In this serum, Medik8 uses it to support skin recovery and soothe the look of irritation.

Is PDRN made from salmon sperm?

Traditional PDRN is often derived from salmon DNA. Medik8’s Prismatic PDRN is vegan, and the serum is certified by The Vegan Society. Medik8 reports around 60% deeper penetration than salmon-derived PDRN in an in vitro study.

What is the difference between PDRN and exosomes?

PDRN is made of DNA fragments, which Medik8 uses to support skin recovery. Exosomes are tiny vesicles that support the skin’s natural signalling and barrier. Exo-PDRN Prismatic+ combines both.

Does an exosome serum sting?

Some exosome serums use spicules (micro-needle-like particles), which can tingle. Medik8 deliberately left spicules out of Exo-PDRN Prismatic+ and says it is suitable for sensitive skin.

Can I use it with retinal, vitamin C or acids?

Yes. Medik8 confirms it layers with Crystal Retinal, C-Tetra® Advanced and exfoliating acids. Apply Exo-PDRN Prismatic+ first, as the thinnest layer.

Should I choose Exo-PDRN or Liquid Peptides Advanced MP?

Medik8 says to choose Liquid Peptides Advanced MP for line-smoothing and Exo-PDRN Prismatic+ for overall rejuvenation. You can use both, with Exo-PDRN applied first.

Can I wear it under makeup?

Yes. Medik8 has tested it to layer under makeup.
